River Battles in Overtime Thriller at Hillsborough
TAMPA, FL - The Indian River men's basketball team traveled to Tampa on Wednesday night to take on Hillsborough Community College, where the River came up short in a hard-fought overtime loss.
Indian River showed tremendous resilience, mounting a strong second-half comeback after trailing by as many as 15 points. The River stayed together, battled back, and forced overtime with their effort on both ends of the floor.
Adam Squire continued his hot shooting, leading the River with 23 points while adding 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Caleb Cameron delivered a monster performance, posting a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, along with 3 steals and 5 blocks. Cameron also made a major impact defensively, holding Hillsborough's top scorer well below his average.
Tamiel Green contributed 9 points and 8 rebounds, while Terryon Stebbins once again anchored the defense and chipped in offensively with 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Off the bench, Anthony Ferrer and Arlindo Bernardo each scored 5 points, with Bernardo also grabbing 2 steals. Sharief Parks provided valuable minutes off the bench, pulling down 5 rebounds.
Despite the tough overtime loss, the River showed grit, heart, and togetherness in a strong road performance.
