The River Battles Hard but Falls to FSW
FORT MYERS, FL- The Indian River State College men's basketball team faced a tough challenge against Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW). Despite a hard-fought effort, The River was unable to match FSW's offensive firepower.
The first half proved difficult for Indian River, as they struggled to contain FSW's high-powered attack, which racked up 54 points by halftime. Inconsistent shooting and defensive struggles allowed FSW to build a commanding lead.
Coming out in the second half, The River played with increased intensity. They found a better offensive rhythm and created more scoring opportunities. Key players stepped up, and the defense showed improvement, but FSW's depth and skill remained difficult to overcome. In the end, Indian River fell 102-61.
Despite the lopsided result, there were positives to take away. The River demonstrated resilience in the second half, and individual performances showed promise for future matchups.
