Indian River Falls to Daytona in Tough Road Matchup
DAYTONA, FL- The Indian River State College basketball team found themselves in a tough battle on the road against Daytona. Despite a valiant effort in the first half, the River struggled to keep up with Daytona's offensive firepower, as the home team dominated on both ends of the court. At halftime, Indian River trailed 56-30. The River had difficulty finding their rhythm offensively, with Daytona's defense forcing multiple turnovers and limiting Indian River's shooting opportunities.
Coming out of the break, Indian River attempted to regroup, but Daytona's offensive onslaught continued. Despite the River's best efforts to mount a comeback, the deficit proved too large to overcome. By the end of the game, Daytona had secured a dominant 112-77 victory. Indian River's offense improved in the second half, but the damage had already been done. Outmatched by Daytona's relentless pace and execution, the River will now focus on regrouping and improving as they look ahead to their next matchup.
