The Indian River women's basketball program received news this week that two of their student-athletes were honored on the NJCAA Student-Athlete Awards list recently released.
Sophomore Elaine Field, who recently commited to the University of West Alabama, was honored by the NJCAA and achieved All-Academic First Team. Elaine maintained a perfect 4.0 during her sophomore year while also earning All Conference Second team honors for her athletic performance. Field was even garnished with the team's Pioneer Pride Award for her accomplshments both on and off the court for the River.
Daeundra Jordan, a sophomore transfer student from USC-Upstate, was also honored. Jordan who plans on being a pharmacist and is a Pre-Med/Bio major received NJCAA All-Academic Second Team honors for her academic efforts.
