Indian River men's basketball captured a huge road win over Broward College 76-60. Broward, who defeated IRSC on January 23 by a score of 84-77, was the only conference loss the men have suffered at this point.
The game had several lead changes early, but the Pioneers were able to take a 15 point lead into the half, 40-25 behind the hot shooting of Cedric Jackson who scored all of his 11 points in the first half. Broward made several runs in the second half, but IRSC was able to keep the lead at double figures and eventually winning the contest 76-60. The win pushed the Pioneers record to 20-6 and 7-1 in Southern Conference.
The Pioneers next contest will be against Miami Dade on February 13th when they go to Miami for a 7 p.m. start.
